FORMULA One superstar Lewis Hamilton has been presented with a prestigious award by a High Wycombe business at a glittering event to celebrate British motor sports.
The trophy is awarded every year to a British driver for the most meritorious performance in single-seater racing.
Formula One champion and BRDC president Damon Hill, and his mother Bette Hill, present the Graham Hill trophy to Lewis Hamilton at The Cafe Royal in London.
Success and achievement
It’s been a long road to success and achievement for Lewis Hamilton who graduates from karting to single-seaters, finishing third in the Formula Renault series in 2002.
He has come a long way since and at the young age of 23, 2008 has been a exceptional year for Lewis. He has becomes the youngest world champion in Formula One history, after five wins and a further five podiums take him to the title by a single point on only his second attempt. Commits to McLaren until the end of 2012.
